Yep, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m just like Kdog said. But only from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend until the last day of Sunfest which will be September 23 this year. If you swim at any other times........you're on your own. And right now, there is a high rip tide risk, so please "keep your feet on the sand till the lifeguard's in his stand".

141 water rescues in 1 day...very busy...all were for swimmers in rip currents, most just dont know how to correctly get out of rip currents.

In case anyone DOESN'T know what to do, you relax and let the current take you out until it releases you, then you swim PARALLEL to the shore until you're past the rip current, and then you can swim back in. Sounds easy enough. But it's not when you're scared from being caught, and most people are only occasional or vacation swimmers and don't have the strength to do all of that. That's why most need rescued. Thank God for our fabulous lifeguards.
It's also another reason why people shouldn't put their umbrellas or those canopies up by the water. It blocks the lifeguard's view. We all want to be at water's edge, but move them back a few feet. It may save someone's life.
